Since 1972, when Grayling's father, Vance Hill and Uncle, Neil Hill founded the company, Grayling has been coming to work starting with sweeping the floors at 11 on the weekends. He thought he was just a kid working in the family business. As time passed, he became more aware of the company and the legacy his family created. He learned the trades and fabrication skills through his childhood and early adulthood while continuing his education. With a degree in Accounting and a Masters in Business, Grayling still considers himself a welder at heart and spends much of his time in the production area training the team. He takes the value of HilArk products being built on quality very seriously and checks every product before it leaves the shop. Even after 45 years of coming to work, he still gets excited every morning.
